Ich kann euch sagen, dass das wirklich ein Kampf mit diesem Mädchen mit dem blauen Auge war. Wer hätte das vorher gedacht? Es ist mittlerweile sooo viel Farbe und Papier auf dem Gemälde ...

I can tell you, that the struggle has been real with this girl with the blue eye. Who would have thought that before? There is sooo much paint and paper on the painting now ...

Ich hatte ihr ein ganz neues Gesicht gegeben, war aber auch damit nicht zufrieden. Also habe ich dann irgendwann, nachdem ich wirklich lange an ihr herumgemalt hatte, beschlossen, von vorne anzufangen. Ab dem Moment, als ich die Augen ausgelöscht hatte, war die Erleichterung sooo groß. Es ist manchmal einfach die beste Entscheidung, die man beim Malen treffen kann, denn ab diesem Punkt wird in der Regel alles besser!

I had given her a whole new face, but was not happy with it either. So at some point, after I had really spent a lot of time painting her, I decided to start all over again. From the moment, that I extinguished her eyes, the relief was sooo great. Sometimes it's just the best decision you can make, because from that point onwards, everything usually gets better!

Es ist noch nicht ganz fertig, aber fast. Ich glaube am Ende wird doch alles gut, wenn man nur dran bleibt!

It's not quite finished, but almost. I think, that in the end, everything will be fine, if one only keeps going!
