Sommerurlaub

Ich möchte mich in den Sommerurlaub verabschieden.

I would like to say goodbye for the summer holiday.

Ich freue mich sehr darauf, aber ich wollte auch so gerne vorher noch drei Bilder fertig stellen, an denen ich gerade arbeite. Ich habe es aber nicht geschafft. Die Zeit ist mir davon gelaufen und ich werde sie erst nach meinem Urlaub beenden können.

I'm really looking forward to it, but I also wanted to finish three big paintings, that I'm working on, before we go. But I didn't manage it. The time has run away and I will be able to finish them only after my holiday.

Es ist einmal ein großes, zweiteiliges Mandala, welches ich auf zwei gleichgroßen Untergründen male, die mit etwas Abstand in der Mitte aufgehängt werden sollen. Ich male es mit einem dünnen Pinsel mit einer tiefgoldenen Metallicfarbe und ich habe total unterschätzt, wie zeitaufwändig das ist.

It is a large, two-part mandala, which I'm painting on two equally large substrates, which are to be hung with a little distance in the middle. I paint it with a tiny brush with a deep golden metallic color and I have totally underestimated, how time consuming that is.

Dann habe ich auch noch dieses große Frauenportrait in Arbeit, welches schon sehr weit fortgeschritten ist.

Then, I also have this big portrait in work, which is already very advanced.

Und ein bunter Buddha, den ich vor glaube ich zwei Jahren schon angefangen habe, ist auch fast fertig geworden. Aber eben auch nur fast.

And a colorful Buddha, which I have already begun two years ago I think, is almost finished. But only almost.

Wie auch immer, ich bin dann mal weg.

Anyway, I'm off now.
